If you choose Game Start you will be one step closer to starting the game.
If you choose End you will end the game ,Stoneage2 Gold and close this window.
Again, let's choose Game Start. From here you can see all the servers that the game is being played on as well as the status of the servers.

As long as the Server State is not STOP, you should be able to get into the game. If the Server State is STOP then you should perhaps visit the forums where you might be able to find out what's going on with the game.
Right now I'm seeing that the Server State is SMOOTH so I am going to click on SMOOTH to go to the next step buy Stoneage2 Gold.
ALRIGHT!!! The character creation screen. Now we're talking!!

OK. So here we are at the character creation screen. There is a lot of information here but let's just work our way through it by starting a new character by pressing the "New" button on the right.

After pressing the "New" button you should be taken to a screen that has 12 different Stone Age type characters. These are the general character types you can choose to make your character.

If you move your mouse over any of them you will see them turn,Stoneage2 Gold and wave at you??.awww how nice. So anyway, let's just pick one.
I'm going to pick the one on the bottom wearing the Skull helmet.

So now that I picked him (clicked on him), 4 options appear around him. Those 4 options are: OK, a color palette, a rotate button, and a NO button.
OK: Choose this when you want to make this character your game character Stoneage2 Gold
Color Palette: Use this when you like the character but you want to change the character's color (I'm going to give mine purple hair)
